Risk Management in Automated Trading

Kill-switch and risk capsDaily haltMax spread

Put the halt in code

Automation without a kill-switch is how small accounts vanish. Every EA we build can include max spread, max positions, and a daily loss halt.

CopyTrading can auto-pause a child on margin shortfall and leave the rest of the book running. That is the same idea: isolate failure.

Hosting is not a hedge

A Windows VPS does not remove market risk. It only removes 'I closed the laptop' as a reason the EA stopped. You can still lose money. Size as if the next outage and the next gap will both happen this month.
